'I Can Do It, You Can Too!' - Production Trainee
While This Town helped me develop my skills, ICDIYCT sky rocketed both my skills as well as my confidence. Working with a smaller team automatically led me to have more tasks to complete which included making cold calls and emailing potential locations, transcribing scripts, creating the green memo for the industry standard ALBERT and helping with any other admin tasks when needed.
I had the opportunity on numerous occasions to go down to set and assist as a runner which strengthened my skills even more and helped me get to know the crew, especially on my first few weeks.

'This Town' - Production Assistant Apprentice
My job on this placement was mainly assisting the needs of the production team and when necessary, external departments. From running errands to the production office and set with the production runner to completing Transport Movement Orders for cast and crew, I was also responsible for completing extensive lunch/coffee runs for the office and wider team, correlating with appropriate allergens and dietary requirements.
I was also given the opportunity to learn the role of a script reader/reporter by reading the scripts and complete reports about; structure, characterization, setting, dialogue and the overall story itself. As I am aiming my skills to become a screenwriter, this opportunity was really beneficial for me to look into how they consider TV shows for networks such as the BBC.

'This Town tells the story of an extended family and four young people who are drawn into the music scene which exploded from the grass roots of Coventry and Birmingham in the late '70s and early '80s, uniting black, white and Asian youths. Both a high octane thriller and a family saga, This Town opens in 1981 at a moment of huge social tensions and unrest. Against this backdrop, it tells the story of a group of young people fighting to choose their own paths in life, and each in need of the second chance that music offers.'

'Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure'- Follow spot (May 2022)
Director- Steve Boden
Theatre- Belgrade Theatre (Main auditorium)
My first experience follow spotting was incredible, learning everything and working past multiple technical related issues both during tech and into the first couple shows. Communication in this role is majorly important between both cast members and crew to be certain where and when each character exits and making sure we hit them with the right amount of light.

'The It'- Stage Manager (Feb 2022)
Director- Laura Emery
Theatre- Birmingham Ormiston Academy Theatre
This was a short 50 minute straight through production that I came in quite late on due to the original Stage Manager not being able to do the show. This meant I was only able to get to around 3 or 4 rehearsals before we got into the theatre with no dry tech. My role during this was to make sure all the props and set was sorted by the get in and calling the show for 2 performances, one being with a photographer.

'Alice in Wonderland'- Deputy Stage Manager (Nov 2021)
Director- Steve Elias
Theatre- Old Rep Theatre
My first DSM experience on a musical theatre production for a week long run of a Christmas production catered to children and had multiple day time performances which catered schools. There was a quick turn around between each show so we had to sort any issues out very quickly and we had to be able to adapt quickly and manage time accordingly. I also went into rehearsals and attended a dry tech with the director prior to tech run with the rest of the cast with props.

'Boudica'- Deputy Stage Manager (Oct 2021)
